Spokane Writing Workshop

Bittersweet, a Writing Workshop: On Finding the Language for Loss and Love

Please join Sarah Conover for a 2-hour writing workshop addressing the tender terrain of grief. Grief has a life of its own—sometimes hidden, sometimes numb, sometimes raw and painful. Writing uses a part of the brain that is offline in our day-to-day activities, but which can allow grief to discover its own voice, be better understood and metabolized in our lives. Sarah will introduce some overall theories for trauma/grief-informed writing, provide prompts to generate your words and a safe container for personal exploration during the workshop and in the future.
